i got that feeling again
leaving is possibly one of the easiest things i've done. i do it all the time. but what happens most often is that what i wanted to leave behind followed and all i wanted stayed behind. go figure. -

D A Em G/ G D A Em
there was a time
when i'd look up into your face;
willing to find a piece of me
in your embrace.where are you now?
where are you now?I don't even know where you are.
Trying to find a way to you
on the road that stretches far.C: And i keep having dreams where you're dying
and i don't even know where you are
and all of these keep me lying awake
til the break of dawn
til the break of dawna shoe will only hurt where it's never hurt before
when there's a bur or a thorn in the flesh
now so many things make me sad and sore
and i know it's the splinter of youC: and i keep having dreams where you're dying
and i don't even know where you are
and all of these keep me lying awake
til the break of dawn
til the dreak of dawn

the dreaming
First, there was a fig tree. It wasn’t very strong and its fruit tended to be bitter and hard. The gardener didn’t want to give up on the fig tree, and she would sing to it when the sun crept slowly down the hill casting long shadows along the slopes.
In the golden-washed light of the day, the gardener would crawl to the base of the fig tree’s trunk and sing of days when she had to go riding into the night. She sang of love and victories and of nights heady with the scent of blossoming jasmine.
The moon would soon loom on the horizon, cradled there like some luminous pregnant globule, yet the gardener never moved. Her eyes were closed as she hummed against the gooseflesh that raised bumps along her tawny arms.
and so the fig tree began to dream. Not dreams like you and I dream – understandably – but dreaming nonetheless.
The heart of the fig tree was nestled in its trunk, remarkably close to the resonating warmth of the gardener’s back. Soon it’s heart started thrumming in time with the gardener’s.

Good service Alert!!! :]
I recently received very good service and so I decided I would write about it. You have so many blogs that rant and complain, but you rarely ever hear about it when someone is doing something right.
The ‘green’ movement is all the rage and is building steadily albeit slowly in South Africa. From an early age, it’s made most sense to me to look after the Earth etc. and I’ve always been most enthusiastic when it came to topics such as conservation and the like. So I’m happy environmental issues have been enjoying importance.
One green company that has been truly excellent in delivering and spreading the green gospel is Faithful to Nature. They can be found at www.faithful-to-nature.co.za .
You’ll find many articles pertaining to how to live more eco-friendly and information about green (truly green) products.
I’m not getting paid for this. It’s just my opinion that if someone is delivering the goods well, and going beyond what is required, they should get some recognition.
In SA esp. there is a huge gap in the service sector. Seriously. So it actually is amazing if someone is merely doing their job correctly and competently.
I’ve bought from this website twice and within 2 weeks – using the Post Office, nogal – received my packages. Both times, my goodies were lovingly packaged within a box that had clearly already been used before. This adds up; after all, wherever you can re-use, you should. At last, a flippen company that walks their talk. I also received a free back-order of the Biophile, a local magazine. And with the last order, I received a copy of the Greentimes, mahala.
So I’m sticking with Faithful to Nature. Good green products at extremely pleasant prices. Wish I lived in Cape Town so I could make use of their organic food delivery service as well….alas, not so fortunate. J
So there. Well done Faithful to Nature! And thank you for great service. J
